Cette réunion scientifique, dédiée aux tumeurs oligodendrogliales, marque le 15ème anniversaire du réseau POLA (oligodendrogliomes anaplasiques), labellisé par l'Institut National du Cancer (INCa).

Après 15 ans, plus de 2 000 patients ont bénéficié de l'organisation du réseau (double lecture anatomopathologique, analyse moléculaire, suivi prospectif). 80 études translationnelles et fondamentales ont été initiées à partir de la cohorte POLA, dont 25 ont été publiées.

Le réseau coordonne actuellement 2 essais de phase III dédiés aux tumeurs oligodendrogliales : POLCA (recrutement terminé, fin de l'étude prévue en octobre 2024) et POLO (recrutement en cours), tous deux comparant RT-PCV versus PCV seul dans les oligodendrogliomes de grade 3 et 2 respectivement, avec pour objectif principal de démontrer une survie plus longue sans déclin cognitif.

L'atelier marquera le 15e anniversaire du réseau. Nous souhaitons donc marquer cet anniversaire en réunissant des scientifiques et des cliniciens travaillant dans les domaines de la biologie et du traitement de l'oligodendrogliome, des acteurs académiques et des associations de patients afin de favoriser les interactions et les discussions scientifiques.

This scientific meeting, dedicated to oligodendroglial tumours, is being organised to mark the 15th anniversary of the POLA rare cancer network (anaplastic oligodendrogliomas), approved by the French National Cancer Institute (INCa).

After 15 years, more than 2,000 patients have benefited from the network organisation (double pathology reading, molecular analysis, prospective follow-up). 80 translational and fundamental studies have been initiated using the POLA cohort, 25 of which have been published.

The network is currently coordinating 2 phase III trials dedicated to oligodendroglial tumors : POLCA (enrolment completed, study scheduled to end in October 2024) and POLO (recruiting), both comparing RT-PCV versus PCV alone in grade 3 and 2 oligodendrogliomas, respectively, with the primary objective of demonstrating longer survival without cognitive decline.

The workshop will mark the 15th anniversary of the POLA network. We therefore wish to mark this anniversary by bringing together scientists and clinicians working in the fields of oligodendroglioma biology and treatment, academic actors and patients associations to foster interactions and scientific discussions.
